Insurance and agreements.
CRMA works with the SNS and with the country's main health providers. Check here whether your provider has an agreement with us — and if in doubt, contact us: we'll check for you before you book.
Who we have agreements with.
Cover conditions vary depending on the provider, the plan and the exam. The list below is updated regularly; if in doubt, please confirm with us when you book.
SNS convention
SNS — Serviço Nacional de Saúde (National Health Service)
We accept SNS credentials for the exams covered by the convention — among them CT, X-ray, bone densitometry, mammography, some ultrasound and Doppler exams and the echocardiogram. Bring your valid credential on the day of the exam and check your specific exam with us.
Health subsystems
Insurers and health networks
Some brands are managed through the AdvanceCare network — for example Logo, BNP Paribas Cardif and Cruz Vermelha. We also have company schemes (CTT, MEO, Cimpor). We work with other insurers and health networks — contact us to confirm yours.
Workplace accidents
Workplace accident insurance
We work with the main insurers. The process is defined by the employer and the insurer — bring the claim documentation you were given.
Clinical partnerships: we carry out planning exams for radiotherapy and nuclear medicine clinics.
Isn't your provider on the list? Contact us — agreements are reviewed regularly and we can check case by case.
Using your agreement is simple.
Confirm your agreement
Check on this page whether your provider has an agreement with CRMA — or just ask us, by phone or on the booking form.
Bring your documents on the day
Your medical referral and provider card. Depending on the agreement, an additional document may be needed (for example, a letter of responsibility or prior authorisation) — we'll tell you exactly what you need when we confirm your booking.
Your cover is applied
The amount you pay depends on your provider's conditions and your plan. We let you know when we confirm your booking, with no surprises on the day of the exam.
Frequently asked questions about agreements.
Do you work with my health insurance?
We work with the country's main health insurers and networks — see the list on this page. As networks change over time, if in doubt contact us: we'll check for you before you book.
Does CRMA have an SNS convention?
Yes. We accept SNS credentials for the exams covered by the convention — among them CT, X-ray, bone densitometry, mammography, some ultrasound and Doppler exams and the echocardiogram. Magnetic resonance imaging is not covered by the convention. If in doubt, contact us: we'll check your specific exam.
What do I need to bring to use my agreement?
As a rule, your medical referral and your provider card. Some agreements require additional documents (a letter of responsibility, prior authorisation) — it depends on the provider, and we let you know when we confirm your booking.
How much will I pay with my agreement?
The amount depends on your provider's conditions and your plan, and also on the exam. It is confirmed when we confirm your booking.
I don't have any agreement. Can I still have exams at CRMA?
Yes, of course — all exams are available privately. The price is given when we confirm your booking.
I had a workplace accident. How does it work?
Exams relating to workplace accidents are carried out on the instruction of the employer's insurer. Bring the claim documentation you were given; if in doubt, contact us.
My provider isn't on the list. What now?
Contact us. We work with more providers than those listed and agreements are reviewed regularly — we'll check case by case.
